"Book 1 of the multi-episode series The Cage Sessions
Annika is a reporter for MiamiImproper.com, a struggling web magazine. Damien Cage is rock star frontman for the Platinum-selling band Eon Sphinx.
When her boss sends Annika to interview Damien at his Biscayne Bay estate, she can't believe it. Now 22 and trying to find her path in life, Annika is trying to let go of her strict religious upbringing. She yearns to be sexually free, enjoying all that life has to offer.
Just turned 30, Damien is surrounded by beautiful girls. He trains them in the "Deviant Arts of Pleasure." But none of them are on his level. Disillusioned and jaded with the music industry, he has quit his band in search of something more meaningful out of life.
When Annika and Damien meet, sparks fly. The steam between them is hotter than the Florida sunshine.
Damien makes an offer to Annika. Neither realizes it yet, but it's an offer that will fill their lives with both deep meaning AND sizzling passion... starting at one of Damien's infamous Friday night parties full of decadence and debauchery. "

Where do I even begin with this book?
At first - there were way too many details... Just too much information, way too quickly.
And then we have Damien Cage... Alleged rock sex god, supposedly well versed in literature and yet he loves - wait for it - Nickelback.
In fact, he's good friends with them and I'm like, IS THIS A JOKE?
But I've already had to suspend belief with this book so I'm just going to ignore the fact that Nickelback was EVER mentioned. And we're going like gangbusters until Damien Cage mentions his RULE. His one rule that women have to submit to in order to become a groupie and I'm like just like - WHOA. Red flags. Right? RIGHT?
But, nope. Girlfriend is going to go along with it because apparently she's had a hard on for this guy since she was 12. Let me tell you - I loved me some AJ McClean when I was that age and if he ever offered me the position of being a groupie (READ: this chick was MOCKING Cage's groupies for being slutty bimbos) but said that I first had to submit to him sexually, I'd be out of there faster than a bat out of hell.
At this point, I'd DNF this book but I'm too far in. I'm too. Far. In. I have to know what happens next.
And then we get to the party. Her best friend is urging her to go along with it and then there are women leaning over, revealing their anuses and again, I'm like - WHAT IS HAPPENING?
And if it weren't bad enough, Damien Cage decides to serenade her with Nickelback.
And I am DONE.
I just couldn't. I can't. I'm sorry.
And every time she called Damien "Mr. Cage," all I thought of was
