"Savannah Colbert has never known why she's so hated by the kids of the Clann. Nor can she deny her instinct to get close to Clann golden boy Tristan Coleman. Especially when she recovers from a strange illness and the attraction becomes nearly irresistible. It's as if he's a magnet, pulling her gaze, her thoughts, even her dreams. Her family has warned her to have nothing to do with him, or any members of the Clann. But when Tristan is suddenly everywhere she goes, Savannah fears she's destined to fail.
For years, Tristan has been forbidden to even speak to Savannah Colbert. Then Savannah disappears from school for a week and comes back
different, and suddenly he can't stay away. Boys seem intoxicated just from looking at her. His own family becomes stricter than ever. And Tristan has to fight his own urge to protect her, to be near her no matter the consequences

Crave is a fast paced paranormal book that I really enjoyed! I am a huge fan of Vampires and Witches in books and guess what Crave is the best of both worlds. Savannah's Mom is a witch and her Dad is a vampire and together they produced a dhampir (hybrid). Melissa Darnell does a really great job of setting up a story around this idea. When you hear the plot it definitely sounds corny and hokey but it was really great.
Savannah develops a great deal throughout this book as she discovers who she is and what she can do. The ending really made me appreciate her character even more. Tristan her love interest and other narrator is a witch and I really loved him as a character. He is a character that is very cliched he wants to be everything his parents don't want him to be. Seeing Savannah and Tristan fall in love was really sweet but for the reader there is a lot of dramatic irony because you just know this Romeo and Juliet relationship is not going to work out for very long.
As far as the vampire and witch aspects of this story I loved that each had their own societies in a way. I think I am a bit more drawn to the witch side of the story because we learn more about them. What I loved about The Clann (witches) is that most of the human characters knew who the The Clann was and most suspected them as witches but were to afraid to say anything. It is basically the reverse Witch Trials which is interesting.
I am definitely going to be continuing on in this addictive series. Crave had a bit of a cliff hanger and I just need to know what happens with their relationship. And I really want to know more about the Vampires. I am just craving to read more. (Really I just need to stop punning).
