-My favorite book in the YA Genre is City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. City of Bones is one of the first paranormal books that I read. It is filled with action, adventure, and tons of humor. Clare created some of the most interesting characters I ever read like Jace Wayland. Jace Wayland is outrageously funny and awesome. One of my favorite scenes is as follows: "Have you fallen in love with the wrong person yet?
Jace said, "Unfortunately, Lady of the Haven, my one true love remains myself."
..."At least," she said, "you don't have to worry about rejection, Jace Wayland."
"Not necessarily. I turn myself down occasionally, just to keep it interesting.”

  2. My favorite book in the Young Adult genre is probably "The Fault in Our Stars" by John Green. Up until that moment, I hadn't read many contemporary novels. That book made me fall in love with not only YA contemporary but also John Green. I love John Green's writing and his character development. The story itself was just breathtaking and heartbreaking. I need to reread it ASAP.

  3. My favorite YA book would have to be Book of a Thousand Days by Shannon Hale. I absolutely adore fairy tales and novel retellings. This one always stood out to me because it is a really obscure fairy tale told in a unique setting (how many other stories are told in a fantasy version of Mongolia!)
