Musing Mondays

Musing Mondays asks you to muse about one of the following each week...

Describe your reading habits...

Tell us what book(s) you recently bought for yourself or someone else, and why you chose that/those book(s)...

Tell us what you're reading right now - what you think of it, so far; why you chose it; what you are (or aren't) enjoying...

Happy Monday everyone! I hope that you all had a fantastic weekend. I spent most of mine working and edition my Project: Document Your Life January 2013 video. You can click right here to go check it out.

Instead of talking about the book that I'm currently reading (because I'm in between books at the moment), I've decided to talk about the books that I've recently purchase for myself.

Better World Books was having a pretty awesome sale... You could buy three books for $10, and each additional book would be $3 a piece. Because the website sells used books, they fell into the realm of my book buying resolution .. I said, why not?

I purchased: I Was Jane Austen's Best Friend, Mr. Darcy Broke My Heart: A Novel, Jekel Loves Hyde, Stargirl and The Luxe. This technically doesn't count because I'm not purchasing it for myself (but I'm excited and wanted to tell you anyway!), but I just found out that I won a giveaway hosted by BritishBookLover over on Youtube and I will be receiving I Am the Messenger by Markus Zusak. Each book (and Youtuber) have links!

I also wanted to give a quick update. I've been MIA from my blog recently... and that's due to the fact that my course load for this semester is heavier than I expected and I've been spending a lot of time working on my Youtube channel. Thank you guys for sticking around despite the lack of content. I'm attempting to get back on a regular posting schedule (with reviews!) as soon as possible. You can expect the following: regular Top Ten Tuesday posts, #Friday Reads videos, Musing Mondays, and reviews of Matched by Allie Condy and Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout.

Well, that's all for now. What have you guys been reading and which books have you purchased for yourself?

I'll see you on Tuesday!

  1. It's so hard to resist a great book sale. I'm always trawling around the op-shops for bargains. Here's what I'm reading:

  2. Nice bunch of books :)

  3. That is a hard price to ignore. That cheap, I am willing to take more chances with what I buy.
