Cocoa and Hype Makes Every Book Nice: Update!

Hey guys!

I just want to pop in for a quick update regarding the read-a-thon that I'm participating in. It is day 5 of the thon and I've already totally blown my own goals out of the water. I originally expected to only complete two full novels (Divergent by Veronica Roth and Matched by Ally Condie) and perhaps start a third if time permitted because of my other obligations (oh, you know, two jobs and a full time course load).

Holy freaking crap...

So far, I have read a grand total of three full novels equaling a whopping 1,018 pages... in FIVE DAYS! I know that I'm probably not holding a candle to the other blogger participating but I am really proud of my progress!

So, here are the books that I've finished and what I hope to finish in the remaining four days...

Divergent by Veronica Roth - you can head over to Youtube to see my video review. 4/5 stars.
Matched by Ally Condie - no review up as of right now (if you'd like to see one, please let me know!) but I I loved this book! 4/5 stars.
Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout - again, no review up... yet. I am 90% sure that I will be doing a review of some sort for this book... written or video - let me know if you have a preference! 4.5/5 stars.

Today I started Choker by Elizabeth Woods and I'm hoping that I'll be finished with it by tomorrow. After that, who knows? I'm considering The DUFF by Kody Keplinger, City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare... or I may just say "screw it" and dive into Onyx by Jennifer L. Armentrout (the sequel to Obsidian) - I need to know what happens between Daemon and Katy!

Well, that is all for now!

What have you guys been reading?
-Alyssa

  2. Nice job! That's really good for 5 days! I was doing really well, but I've slowed down the last 24 hours because I'm sick and my brain is too foggy to concentrate on much! I'm hoping to read more later!

I also loved Divergent and Matched, I haven't read Obsidian yet, although its on my Nook. I loved the Covenant series by her! Good luck!
